First, Olivia's BFF, Cate, recently had a poolside Tea Party which was absolutely adorable and has since put all other tea parties to shame! After the tea party, all the kids went swimming but I couldn't get any pictures since Olivia refuses to let anyone but me get within 10 yards of her. Nevertheless, it was a great morning and WORE HER OUT! We hope to spend many more tea party/swim dates with Cate this summer!
Its hard to get a picture of O smiling these days because she is so fast and silly! Luckily Matt was able to get one good one. We laughed that she was like Ricky Bobby in the second picture -- she doesn't know what to do with her hands!
I'm really not sure there is anything cuter than a toddler tea party!
We also had our buddy Chase over for a playdate. For some reason both kids were freaked out and cried at the beginning of the playdate . Kind of weird for Olivia considering it was her house and I was there. But after a while, she calmed down and proceeded to take Chase's hand and lead him around the house. Dad brought the picnic table inside and they LOVED sitting there....or more precisely not sitting there (this convinced me that we need to keep our little wanderer strapped down in her high chair as long as possible!)
Chase is eyeing her food in this picture because she kept stealing all his strawberries!
And, of course, Baby Ed hasn't missed a bit of action this summer. She is really taking on a big role in our family -- she comes everywhere with us, we include her in our prayers, change her "poopy diapers," give her a "bath" and the other day I had to tell her I loved her! We have to convince Olivia that she doesn't need her own food at restaurants!
