It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

While she didn't fully understand the whole Christmas experience this year, Olivia had lots of fun with the Christmas activities we planned for her.

One of her favorites was the advent calendar.  She would literally wake up saying "cal?", lead us to the calendar, and then anxiously wait while we opened whatever treat she pulled out.  She wouldn't even take the hair bows out of the pocket; the toys, goldfish and Mum Mums were medium hits, but the 3 days on which she got M&Ms were her favorites.  Much to our dismay, she is developing quite the sweet tooth!

I also made Olivia this felt Christmas tree.

At first, she really liked it and would carefully take down each ornament and pat it back on the tree.  I had high hopes for her learning colors through this exercise.  But as the month went on, she just liked to run up to the tree, tear all the ornaments off, tear the tree down, and then laugh at herself.  She was very proud after she taught Chase her trick.

She also liked all the decorations, lights and of course...turning on the Christmas tree...and off the Christmas tree...and back on.

Christmastime was so much fun this year with Miss Olivia to help us celebrate!
