Grinchmas Party

We hosted a "Grinchmas" party at our house for Cate and Emma (plus their siblings).  Olivia was SO excited about it and asked for a week if it was time for the party!

We started off decorating cookies

Sweet little Paige was more interested in eating the icing than frosting the cookies

Little Reis was happy to watch the big kids being silly

And tasting their finished product was the best part! (I had hopes some of these cookies would be saved for Santa....no such luck!)

Mr. John got into the cookie decorating action too!

And then it was time to watch The Grinch movie.  Olivia was the only one who sat down for any length of time to actually watch the movie (and I think she maybe made it 5 minutes!).  The rest of the time, the kids just ran around playing and laughing.

All that playing will work up an appetite!

I had high hopes for the kids making Grinch ornaments to take home and coloring some Grinch art, but they were much more interested in playing with the toys, so we will have to save those for next year! Lucky for the parents, all the kids took LONG naps that afternoon.

And, our Grinchmas party dovetailed nicely with the Grinch's Holiday Workshop at the Houston Children's Museum.
