Busy Weekend Fun

I feel like we packed a month's worth of fun all into this past weekend.  Things started out on Friday morning with her annual school's Breakfast with Santa.  I was in charge of the event this year, which really meant Olivia assumed she was in charge.  She spent the whole morning playing hostess - telling everyone where to put their letter to Santa, pointing out the breakfast room and trying her hardest to help the photographer make the babies smile.

We were there early to set up, so she got a private meeting with Santa and Mrs. Claus before the event began and was the first one to get her picture taken.

Because I was busy running around making sure everything was going well at the breakfast, I'm pretty sure she ate her weight in donuts.

This is the "silly hat" she has to make the babies laugh

And at the end, she and her friend Sadie got one more chance with the big guy himself, including a silly face photo!

That afternoon, she and I had fun decorating a giant gingerbread man.

Saturday morning, our elf Phillip left a special surprise for her, so she and Matt had a "snowball fight" while mamma got a little extra sleep!

That afternoon, our local movie theater was playing The Snowman cartoon.  Tickets were only $3, so we went to that and lucked out because we had the entire theater to ourselves.  So Olivia was free to talk and walk around as much as she wanted.

On Sunday morning, her friend Emma had a Cookie Decorating and Donut party.  The kids all had a blast, got super hopped up on sugar, and actually decorated some pretty cute
cookies!

Then we headed to The Racket Club to meet up with Carol and Cameron for a Gingerbread Decorating Party. It was perfect - we walked in and each kid had a pre-assembled giant gingerbread house, a pre-filled bag of icing, and a huge bowl of candy.  They had a blast eating all the candy/decorating while drinking hot chocolate.

And we ended the weekend with a carriage ride through River Oaks to see the Christmas Lights.  A couple of moms from her school organized it and it was SO MUCH FUN!

Olivia and baby Ella had matching Christmas jammies

The weather was perfect and the kids all loved it!  We brought popcorn and hot cocoa for them to snack on while we rode and it was only an hour, which was the perfect length for this antsy bunch.  Definitely hope to keep this tradition going!

This is another busy week coming up - we have her Holiday Show at school and then we are taking a trip on the Polar Express.  Keep the Christmas crazy coming!
